![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The body This cars has been painted with base clear Hemi orange and color sanded to near perfection The engine compartment is gloss black base clear as well. Mopars are supposed to have body color engine compartments, but the General Lee had a block one so that should take care of some emails. The decals are vinyl overlays, they are very nicely done by a local decal maker “Cranks Signs” and are as true to the show as possible. The bumpers have been re-chromed, the rest of the stainless has been polished. It is all very presentable, There is a ding in the front I piece however it is hidden by the push bar. The center of the trunk has been replaced with new flat sheet metal, welded then fiber glassed in and coated with rubberized undercoating for protection and as a sound deadener. There is a year one mat in the back and it does have the taillight cover. No jack or spare though The Interior The seats are legendary interior with new foam on the the fronts. The head liner, carpet and front door panels are from year one. The dash cap is from Acuform. The rest has been cleaned and/or repainted with the correct SEM brand interior paint. It does have a very nice brand new Grant steering wheel. The horn button is on the side of the steering column. The speedometer, amp gauge, oil pressure and fuel gauge all work, the temp gauge in the cluster is not hooked up and the clock does not work. I do have auxiliary gauges in place of the radio, temp, oil and volt. They work great. The monster tachometer although not found on the General’s from the show looks really cool in there. The interior could use a factory glove box but out side of that its really nice. I also replaced the package tray and the cb does work. The Undercarriage Most of the factory undercoating was removed and replaced with brand new under coating. The fuel tank and sending unit are new as well. There are new brake shoes all the way around as well as new wheel cylinders, new rubber lines, new wheel bearings, new master cylinder, new power brake booster and a crane cams vacuum reservoir to assist the brakes. The front end is a older rebuild and should be good for a long time. The rear end is an 8 3/4 3.91 sure grip (which means both tires spin and to go really fast really quick) This car should have a top speed of 105 to 115 and you will get there in under a quarter mile. I do have a 3.23 489 case sure grip with the correct speedo gear that I can install to make the car easier to to drive. Let me make it clear that this is either or you cannot have both! The leaf springs are the heavy duty gtx springs and the shocks are as well. Their new too. The wheels are 15 by 7 ten spoke vector wheel THEY ARE THE REAL DEAL! The tires all all Bfgoodrich the fronts are 235-60-15s the rears are 295-50-15s The Drive Train Alright here we go This was a original 383 car I have the short block, it goes if you can pick It up, I will not put it in the trunk or back seat so don’t ask! It now has a 69 440 10.1-1 compression, arp rod bolts, steel crank, polished crank, the cam is a 509 292 purple shaft with the mopar performance lifters, push rods and rocker arms. It has a true rolling timing chain, with a 3 degree advance. 906 heads with stainless 214 valves. A Edelbrock performer rpm intake with a Edelbrock 800 cfm carb. This has been converted to electronic ignition with the mopar performance distributer and orange ecu. It has Hedmen headers to dual 3 inch exhaust with an x pipe and two chamber flowmasters. The transmission is rebuilt with a b&m valve body. This motor has less than 100 miles on it. What else, this car does have to Wolo brand dixie horn they work great and are extremely loud This car also has a 4 core radiator and on a hot day the engine will get up to about 165 degrees This car will not overheat. ![]() | Return Home | BUSINESS PAGE | DOLLS FOR SALE | GUEST BOOK | LINKS | PHOTO GALLERY | WHAT'S NEW THIS WEEK? | DOLL IDENTIFICATION | WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE FOR SALE ON THIS SITE? | CLOTHING FOR DOLLS BY MANUFACTURE NAME | BEAR CLOTHING | Question?? | |
